How can I have the mind of Christ?”

Paul : “we (believers) have the mind of Christ” 1 Corinthians 2:16. Having the mind of Christ means sharing the plan, purpose and perspective of Christ.
Having the mind of Christ means we understand God’s plan in the world—to bring glory to Himself, restore creation to its original splendor, and provide salvation for sinners. It means we identify with Christ’s purpose “to seek and to save what was lost” (Luke 19:10). It means we share Jesus’ perspective of humility and obedience (Philippians 2:5-8), compassion (Matthew 9:36), and prayerful dependence on God (Luke 5:16)

“Set your minds and keep them set on what is above, the higher things…” (Colossians 3:2). This is the key to resisting temptation.

“Gird up the loins of your mind…” (1 Peter 1:13).  We need to get all the junk in our mind out of our way so we can keep running our race in Christ Jesus and have the victory God wants us to have. Then we are ready for action to follow God’s plan for our lives.

“Do not be conformed to this world…but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind…” (Romans 12:2 AMP). Renewing the mind is an ongoing process. Every day we need to take time to study the Word so we can purposely think according to what it says.

Philippians 2:5, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. ”Ways we can renew our minds is to think on the things that are listed in Philippians 4:8: “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
