Frequently Asked Questions
We would like to reassure you that everyone who contemplates permanent makeup are nervous and have many questions!
The safety and comfort of our clients are of the utmost concern. We strictly adhere to international standards in hygiene and care. Sterile, disposable individually packed, single use, consumables are used for each procedure.
Colour pigments are made in the U.S.A. and approved by the FDA. All pigments have been safely used on even the most sensitive of clients with no allergic reactions ever documented.
Your comfort is very important to us. Topical anaesthetics are applied before and during the procedure, resulting in a 95% pain free experience. The sensation to pain will vary between individuals. Once the topical anaesthetic takes effect, many clients report that they feel no discomfort during the brow procedures. Some clients experience a slight irritation during eyeliner procedure. No injections are required.
The cosmetics implantation technique deposits colour pigment into the papillary layer of the skin and is considered permanent because it cannot be washed off. Unlike traditional tattoos performed on the body, permanent cosmetics professionals do not use traditional tattoo ink. Permanent cosmetics pigment is more delicate and designed to work with the skin’s undertones and to obtain results that look natural. Every person’s skin is different with regards to pigment retention. Factors which affect longevity of permanent pigments are: colour selected, age, thickness of skin, scarring of skin, use of skin care products, injectables, laser treatments, medication and sun exposure. You will need periodic refreshing of colour, depending on how light the shade of implanted pigments, as well as factors mentioned above.
All permanent makeup procedures and results are based on multi-appointment basis to achieve the desired look. A touch-up procedure will be required six weeks after the initial procedure.
The skin is a living organ, and everyone’s skin is different. Some clients may need a third appointment to achieve the desired end result, perfect shape or colour intensity.
Touch-up appointments are only applicable on work done by Tsedeq™ naturalbeautyandskincare.
Lips, eyebrows and eyeliner will initially look very dark even though you may have selected a light colour. The colour will start to lighten and soften in several days. As your body goes through the healing process, for some clients tiny raised areas will form where the pigment was applied. This is what makes the pigment appear dark. As the layers of skin start to slough off, they cover the pigment so that it may appear that the colour is faded. After those layers completely sloughed off, the underlying pigment can be seen.
Absolutely. During the consultation and procedure you, together with the permanent makeup artist, will decide on design, placement and the colour which will enhance your natural beauty.
Results for powder ombré brows, eyeliners and lips could last 3 – 5 years (or longer), depending on factors such as skin type, age, aftercare, skin care, products used, sun exposure, immune system, medication, etc. In most cases, the pigments never completely disappear from the skin, but soften as time goes by.
Microblading (hairstroke eyebrows) are semi-permanent and could last 1-2 years. Pigment retention depends on skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, immune system, medication and other factors.
To facilitate aesthetic healing, we strongly suggest that NO makeup should be worn on the treated area for a minimum of 7 days.
Yes, permanent cosmetics can benefit any woman of any age or complexion.
Yes. Once we have decided on the best brow shape, any hair within that shape can stay and will only make your look more natural. Any hair outside the shape can be threaded or tweezed just as you would normally do with your normal brow maintenance.
Everyone’s eyebrows are slightly uneven because of different muscle / bone structure. Often times there might be more hair on the one side than on the other. We will try our best to even them out and show you as we go.
If the colour is dark, it can be removed with a laser to enable you to have a new set of eyebrows. If the colour in the skin is red or pink, it can be corrected. This will be discussed in your consultation and you will be provided with enough information to make an informed decision about the way to go.
It is very important to discontinue using any lash growth serum at least 2 months before having a permanent eyeliner procedure.
Lash extensions has to be removed before eyeliner procedures.
It is very important that aftercare instructions are followed meticulously in order to facilitate aesthetic healing. Aftercare products will be supplied and discussed during the procedure. Depending on individual healing, the area will flake within 7-10 days, but the final healed result will only be in 6 weeks.
There will be slight swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside quickly. You may resume most normal activities immediately after the procedure.
