Deep tissue massage: Deep tissue massage is a specific type of massage that works on the deep layers of muscle and fascia in the body.

A word of caution to the pregnant
Avoid massaging in the first trimester of pregnancy, if you have a high risk pregnancy or suffer from Thrombosis or Edema.
Handy hints before massage
- Don’t eat a heavy meal before the massage
- If it’s your first time at the clinic or spa, arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete the necessary forms. Otherwise, arrive 5 minutes early so you can have a few minutes to rest and relax before starting the massage.
You are NOT a good candidate for massage if you are suffering from any of the following
- Infectious skin disease, rash or open wounds
- Thrombosis or prone to blood clots as there is a risk of blood clots being dislodged. If you have a heart disease, check with your doctor before having a massage
- Angina pectoris
- Varicose veins
- Any unidentified lumps or swelling
- Immediately after surgery
- Immediately after chemotherapy or radiation, unless recommended by your physician
