David, a shepherd boy was anointed (1 Sam 16: 12-13) to become king, but first he endured many hardships and was prepared for many years… but he always turned to God (Ps 27: 1-4).
God has prepared a company of people with an anointing to breakthrough into the God-ordained destiny for their lives as well as for cities and nations. Many of these people are the most unlikely in the natural to be chosen. God loves to take the least likely and demonstrate His ability through them!
Why was David called “a man after God’s own heart”?
- David had absolute faith in God (1 Sam 17: 37)
- David loved the Word of God (Ps 19: 9-10, 119: 2-3 47 – 48)
- David was thankful and worshipped God (Ps 26: 6-7, 100:4)
- David was repentant (2 Sam 12 : 13, Ps 51 1- 10)
- David searched intimacy with God (Ps 27: 4, 8, 61:1, 18:1)

Pomegranate Ministries was founded in 2010 when the Lord spoke to Sonnet Hanekom about preparing the Bride of Christ. The instrument given to her was the fragrances in biblical anointing oils.
Sonnet started this journey as a reseller of another ministry’s oils, but after much training, reading, praying and waiting, the Lord lead me to start blending oils in 2014.
The Pomegranate symbolises the Bride of Christ and the love of the Bridegroom for the bride.
